A south-facing window may provide sufficient light, but you may need to place the plant under a grow light. Maintenance: Place the seedling tray in bright yet indirect sunlight. Soak the seeds in hot water (164F/60C) before sowing them. Soon you will have a new plant to share or add to your indoor garden.Ī bit more information: There are over 500 related species and most of the Papyrus ( Cyperus) plants are native to marshes, ponds and streams. The Supero I've had for 6 years now, the Claro (before I got Supero) 4 years purple analog Pico 8 years, beige analog (before I got the purple ones) 7 years. When do you guys buy new hearing aids to replace old ones? 6 years? 10? what? Just curious. Maybe I just need to trial a Sumo and see if there's any difference, will have to see if something can be worked out. Just something I like to think about every once in a while. Not sure if I will actually get a new hearing aid anytime soon or not. and I didn't like the way it sounded (but perhaps I needed to have the audie do some adjustments? I have no idea). How about DAI? I tried DAI with the Phonak "shoe" on the hearing aid and directly connecting to iPod, etc. How does Oticon's FM products compare to Phonak's FM? I've quit using the old Phonak T-Mic FM transmitter since it broke/quit working frequently and have resorted to using the Hatis Epic silhouette earhook for listen to music. It still works fine, but nowadays it seems I have to take the hearing aid back to audie for more repairs than ever (telecoil setting went busted a couple weeks back and just now has been sent back to audiologist's office after being sent to Phonak for repair) battery cover broke and had to be replaced for the first time ever last month, etc. I've had the Supero since May 2004 (so 6 years). ![]() I might even try talking to the local audie about the difference (it seems Medicaid does cover new hearing aids, earmolds AND hearing aid repairs). Just wondering if there's much of a difference between Supero and Sumo. ![]() I currently am wearing Phonak's Supero 413AZ, and have been looking at the specs of Oticon's Sumo. Now I'm just wondering how the Oticon products compare to Phonak. I've worn Phonak HAs since I became deaf at age 2, and have always been happy enough with their products (until I tried out the Naida for 3 months a couple years back, which I didn't much care for). ![]() ![]() It doesn’t really deliver anything that the bigger and better 2023 Chinese blockbusters already haven’t, not after the blackly comic Song dynasty conspiracy thriller “ Full River Red” or the already conventional sci-fi prequel “ The Wandering Earth 2.” But while “Creation of the Gods I” is not yet a personal, let alone essential, series, you can see glimpses of the epic that director Wuershan has arguably been working his way up to since “The Butcher, the Chef, and the Swordsman,” his wildly uneven, but occasionally disarming 2010 breakthrough. Granted, “Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms” has a fairly low bar to clear, given its mid- to late-year release. There’s still a lot more expository dialogue here than you might be willing to wade through, especially given how little forward momentum this movie has. You can tell that this would-be tentpole’s script was punched up and rewritten a few times to give it greater cogency and dramatic urgency, not just because American screenwriting guru James Schamus’ script consultant credit gets prominent placement during the opening credits. This emotional complexity is mostly absent from “Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms.” Ji Fa and Yin Jiao otherwise putter around, contemplating how they can accomplish what obviously needs doing. In an especially gripping scene, Zhou is forced to reckon with the queen’s treachery but ultimately decides not to punish her. ![]() Only King Zhou seems to go through a full cycle of feelings with his queen. That said, Ji Fa and Yin Jiao are the audience’s surrogates, and their actions mostly hint at unexplored emotional depths. These side characters are so familiar to the movie’s domestic target audience that they only occasionally step in to perk up the otherwise pokey plot. There’s also the meddlesome (but ingratiating!) elder Jiang Ziya, played by Bo Huang, the seemingly inescapable comedic actor turned Chinese movie industry figurehead (he’s good as the mentor/coach in this year’s breakdancing dramedy “One and Only”). The god squad includes everybody’s favorite boy tyrant, Ne Zha ( Yafan Wu), a troublemaking hothead who’s become as emblematic of the various “Investiture of the Gods” adaptations/spinoffs as the Monkey King was for the many “ Journey to the West”-inspired and adjacent movies of the 2010s. But this movie’s immortals are mostly comic relief. In time, the King’s top men realize that they must re-examine the oaths that they’ve made to their kingdom and its top guy.Ī trio of gods tries to help all the Dukes’ men, led by sensitive but interchangeable heroes like Yin Jiao ( Luke Chen) and Ji Fa ( Yosh Yu). They’re all good, filial men dressed in white-and-gold armor and riding fine white computer-generated steeds. King Zhou has a few loyal soldiers at his command, the second sons of his kingdom’s four Dukes. Unfortunately, the Fengshen Bang is controlled by the paranoid and greedy King Zhou ( Kris Phillips) and his manipulative queen, Su Daji (Naran), who may or may not be possessed by a fox demon. Like most post-"Lord of the Rings” movie fantasies, “Creation of the Gods I” focuses on a power struggle for an all-powerful whatsit: the Fengshen Bang, a divine scroll that, in the hands of the King of All Realms, can turn mortals and monsters into gods. ![]() Gift of Stealth is used in the process of creating a legendary rifle – The Predator. Gift of Nature is one of the many elements used to synthesize a longbow called Kudzu. A lot of players stick with the Exotic tier for quite some time, since it’s more than enough for dungeons and fractals.īesides the armors and runes, an endgame, Leatherworker can also create some gifts – these items are used as components for legendary weapons that can be created in the Mystic Forge. At the same time, the difference in power level between Exotic and Ascended items is not that significant. They are tradable, so you can try to make and sell them through the Trading Post. The amount of time required for this process makes the Ascended components quite valuable. Crafting the whole armor set from scratch would take as much as 36 days. The Ascended crafting is time-gated – each GW2 character is only allowed to make a single item in this tier – it also applies to components. The Illustrious Medium Armor requires a long time to craft, and you’ll have to buy special recipe items for an NPC Master Leatherworker. It allows you to synthesize the best in slot Ascended items and their components. ![]() ![]() The second necessary threshold is the level cap of 500. For example, Superior Rune of the Ogre is great for increasing direct and critical damage, while Superior Rune of the Adventurer is a tremendous general offensive choice. All three armor crafters share most of their recipes, but there are some useful ones exclusive to Leatherworkers. Depending on your build, you might want to go with: assassin, carrion, berserker, rampager, cleric, malign, valkyrie, vigorous and the list goes much longer.Īt crafting level 400, you will also get access to making superior runes. ![]() It's determined by a special part called insignias. You should probably make it for your Ranger, Thief, or Engineer (there’s not much reason to develop a Leatherworker if you’re not playing any of these professions).Įvery armor piece that you craft can provide slightly different stats. In the case of the Leatherworker, the most important one is called Emblazoned Armor. At level 400, they get access to Master Recipes and the possibility to craft Exotic armors. That being said, crafting in GW2 is a bit of a luxury, since you have to go all the way to get any profit.Įquipment crafters like Leatherworkers have two critical milestones in their leveling process. It will require some investment, but it’s undoubtedly worth it. You’re not going to get much value from your early products, so instead of trying, you can just cut your losses and get to the good part quickly. It makes players want to max out their Leatherworker and other crafting classes as fast and cheap as possible. On the other hand, the market gets overflowed by the stuff made by all the characters that level the crafting classes.Īll these things combined create a situation where crafting is only useful for endgame items. On the one hand, there are very few players who want low-level gear. You will have to make a ton of pretty much useless junk items. There are no special quests or any other ways that can provide you with crafting experience. Meanwhile, players have to produce low-level items in order to max out their crafters. At the same time, GW2 players have multiple options of further accelerating their leveling – veterans often have access to a lot of Tomes of Knowledge that can level up their new characters instantly. The leveling process of the combat professions is so easy and fast that there’s simply no reason ever to craft or buy gear for lower-level characters. After choosing your crafting class, you have to rush to at least level 400 to get any real use of it. Sadly, in Guild Wars 2, early game crafting is pretty much non-existent. Furthermore, they’re able to refine crafting materials and make various crafting components. Besides the armor pieces, Leatherworkers can also synthesize bags and runes. The primary material categories used by Leatherworkers are leathers and cloths. These characters wear the medium armor category. It creates equipment for the adventurer professions. GW2 Leatherworker is one of the armor crafting classes in Guild Wars 2. They pump in water from the Colorado River to create a brine. The potash mine is over 3,000 feet below the ground. While it is mostly used in fertilizer in the United States, it can also be used in glass, ceramics, soap, and batteries. Potash refers to several types of potassium salts including potassium chloride (KCl). This is when they started using solution mining and solar evaporation, giving us the famous bright blue ponds. Texas Gulf built the plant in the 1960s, but the system changed after an explosion trapped 25 miners, killing most of them. The other, lesser-known ponds are located in Wendover, Utah. Due to not producing chlorophyll, the plant does not produce any green portions. It does not produce chlorophyll, rather gaining its nutrients, such as carbohydrates, from other plant species. The plant is parasitic, feeding off of other plants' root systems, often on the flowering plant genus Sedum which are also known as stonecrops. Many seeds are produced from the plant's fruit. It reproduces from its seeds, which are produced from fruit that has two sections. No leaves are on the plant or offshoot from it. Orobanche uniflora grows to 3–10 centimetres ( 1 + 1⁄ 8– 3 + 7⁄ 8 in) in height, with one purple-to-white flower with five petals per stem. The name "orobanche" can be translated to "vetch-strangler" and "uniflora" can be translated to "single-flower". It is native to much of North America, where it is a parasitic plant, tapping nutrients from many other species of plants, including those in the families Asteraceae and Saxifragaceae and in the genus Sedum. In addition, Scotch broom is slightly toxic and unpalatable to livestock.īossard, C. Several characteristics contribute to its success as an invasive plant: (1) although it loses its leaves during dry conditions, the photosynthetic tissue in its stems allows it to grow throughout the year (2) its roots host nitrogen-fixing bacteria, which helps the plant to establish in nutrient-poor soils and (3) it produces abundant seeds that remain viable in the soil for many years. Scotch broom invades dry hillsides, pastures, forest clearings, dry scrublands, dry riverbeds, and waterways. However, it does not tend to survive in very arid or cold areas. Scotch broom flourishes in full sunlight in dry, sandy soils, but it can survive under a wide variety of soil conditions.
